We have a vacancy for a skilled butcher at our Kingswinford site. Working Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm this is a great opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and hardworking team. You may be required to work outside of these hours should the business require it.
You will be working within the butchery team to complete the daily planning order to a high standard ensuring that quality and pace are maintained.
Ensuring all products are boned out/trimmed to meet customer/company specifications whilst also maximising yield and minimising waste.
Breakdown lamb cuts to customer/company specification.
Carry out all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to health and safety and food safety.
Drive and deliver necessary processing efficiency through consistent and correct equipment operation.
Ensuring strict adherence to quality, HSE, animal welfare, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and handling processes.
Follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times.
Previous experience in a food production environment is essential.
Ability to demonstrate knife skills for the skilled roles, or willingness to learn in semi-skilled/ trainee roles. Applicants will be invited on site for a block test as part of the recruitment process.
