Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston
Contract: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide classroom support across all KS1 year groups, assisting teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences and contributing positively to pupil development and attainment.

The Role
  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classes
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Assisting class teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupils with varying educational needs where required
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a primary school environment is desirable
  • Confidence and flexibility to support across all KS1 classes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional, proactive, and nurturing approach
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one, is essential
