A leading Tier 1 main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager to support the delivery of major healthcare infrastructure projects in the UK.

Working as part of a large-scale national healthcare framework, this position will play a key role in managing the design process from bid stage through to delivery and project completion on complex construction schemes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating the full design process through bid, pre-construction and delivery phases
  • Leading consultant teams and overseeing design programmes and deliverables
  • Ensuring compliance with client requirements, programme, cost and quality expectations
  • Coordinating design information in line with BIM and digital delivery standards
  • Managing design-related issues throughout construction through to handover
  • Ensuring designs comply with all relevant legislation, planning requirements and technical standards


Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects (£50m–£200m+)
  • Strong healthcare project experience preferred
  • Experience across bid, PCSA and live delivery stages
  • Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
  • Experience using BIM, CDE platforms and digital coordination tools
  • Architectural or engineering qualification preferred
